NOTE OF CAUTION AND CARE: Neodymium, a rare-earth metal, is one of the most magnetic materials on earth. One characteristic of neodymium is that it is an extremely brittle metal. Even dropping from just a few inches onto a hard surface can cause them to fracture. When building, please build on a softer surface such as carpet. We recommend laying down a thin towel whenever you are working on a countertop, tile, or hardwood floor (and other very hard surfaces). This will prevent any accidental breakage in the event a magnet slips out of your hand!

When dismantling a structure, DO NOT crush them (especially onto a hard surface!). This will very likely cause magnets to break, as they are already under a lot of magnetic strain. We recommend disassembling the structures as carefully as possible, and always on a soft surface.
